Two first conductors (4, 5) in parallel have the same direction of current (14, 15) flow, with their return leads (6, 7) each forms a parallel coil (2, 3) of at least one winding. Two further conductors (13, 14) are arranged in parallel with their directions of current (113, 114) opposed to each other. With their return leads (15, 16) they form a common antiparallel coil (12) with at least one winding. The antiparallel coil comprises coaxial windings. ADVANTAGE - Approaches homogenous field even at greatest depths of imaging volume, i.e. nearly circular polarised field in imaging volume at predetermined control level.
