The navigation system contains a direction of motion sensor, a distance covered sensor and an independent navigation device for determining the position of the body from the direction and distance sensor signals. The system receives distance and position data signals from several satellites. It determines the body position from the signals of three or more satellites for correction of the independent system values. The position is shown on a map display. USE/ADVANTAGE - Indicates accuracy of displayed position and receiver operating mode.
