One side of both magnetically effective parts of the wide band aerial is fed via a core, while the other side is fed via earthing mesh of the feed coaxial cable. A rotary capacitor with motor tuning provides the resonance, which couples electrically and magnetically both parts of the wide based aerial. Thus, an optimum standing wave ratio is adjustable continuously during radio operation over the entire band width, e.g. of the short wave ranges of 29, 28, 24, 21, 18, and 14 MHz. The aerial provides a high yield, is horizontally working within 5 short wave bands. It is of frequency dependent, and coaxially fed magnetic type. ADVANTAGE - Compact design, suitable for use also as room aerial, providing high quality function.
