Cast module for use in the repair of heating walls between the chambers of a coke-oven battery, where the have several vertical heating ducts for the burning and removal of fuel gases, and each duct has a gas jet at the bottom. Each module is cast in one piece from a fire-resistant material with a high resistance to deformation and thermal shock in the 40-1500 deg. C range. It has the general form of a right angled parallelopiped. Variants claimed relate to the design of the model and to repair procedures. USE/ADVANTAGE - The modules, which replace the existing silica bricks, provide an improved method of repairing the damaged end of a coking-chamber heating wall.
