A granular bone prosthesis is fixed by treating the bone prosthesis material with an aq. soln. of a gelation agent which can gel in presence of Ca ions, and an aq. soln. of a Ca cpd. Pref. the prosthesis material is a Ca phosphate ceramic grain. The gelling agent is a low-methoxylated pectin, an alginate, carrageen, gellan gum or furcellaran. The Ca cpd. is the lactate, gluconate or acetate, or CaCl2, Ca(OH)2, CaO, CaCO3, Ca(NO3)2 or CaSO4. ADVANTAGE - Any bone prosthesis can be used, and can be attached to the damaged bone without spreading or loss after filling.
