The keyboard is provided with pushbuttons for activating various input and indicating functions and the time switch also includes: a keyboard response circuit, a microprocessor with programme and data storages, and the data storage contains cells for the timing programme, the day of the week, the hours and the minutes. Also provided is a pulse transmitter for producing a time standard. The time switching programme is indicated on the LC screen by LC segments in the form of a dial of a mechanical time switch, and the clock time results pref. in quasi analogue form with hands, within the pref. circular switching ring, by further activated LC segments. The LC screen (3) is designed as a manipulatable screen, which at the surface or near the surface has transparent laminations (7,17) with a number of capacitive or resistive, contact responsive, electric conducting fields (4,8) with associated counter electrode (18), arranged in the form of a switching ring and are connected at least to one circuit (23), which corresp. controls the keying operation of the LC screen. USE/ADVANTAGE - Electronic time switch. Can be used with advantages of conventional digital time switch and simultaneously input and indication of switching time programmes similar to mechanical timing switches allows simple operation.
