A roller-shutter type cover consists of extruded hollow PVC sections which have flexible joints along the long edges and are divided into separate chambers by ribs. The section ends are sealed to form watertight chambers allowing the cover to float on water. End sealing is achieved by tapering the inner ribs (3,4) and side pieces (5,6) and pressing upper and lower surfaces of the profile .together. The faces are then welded or bonded together to form the water-tight lip which can be bent out of the main plane as desired. USE/ADVANTAGE - The connected sections can be linked along the long edges to form a floating, flexible cover for swimming baths.
