An earth moving machine has a bucket (11) mounted on the end of the machine arm. The bucket has two hooks (41) which engage opposite ends of a shaft (31) which passes through the prongs (16, 17) of the forked ends of the arm. The bucket can be swung about the shaft (31) by a hydraulic cylinder (13) which is connected by links (12) to a second pair of hooks (42) which are welded to the bucket. The bucket (11) is held in the hooks (41, 42) by two hydraulic cylinders (20, 21) which also serve to adjust the initial angular position of the bucket relative to the arm (10).
