The prepn. of potassium sulphate and hydrochloric acid comprises (a) reaching H2SO4, KCl and an HCl soln. of potassium salts at 60-150 deg C to produce a potassium hydrogen sulphate dispersion or soln. and hydrogen chloride which is sepd. and recovered; (b) dissolving the potassium hydrogen sulphate dispersion or soln. obtd. in (a) in water at 60-150 deg C to prepare an aq. soln. of potassium salts opt. after the addn. of KCl to the dispersion or soln.; (c) adding methanol to the aq. soln. of potassium salts obtd. in (b) and pptg. and (6pp Dwg.No.0/0)
