Leak free sleeve and plug type hydraulic coupling - has both valve components with flat end faces forming interference fit upon coupling

The hydraulic coupling consists of a sleeve valve (4) and a plug valve (2) which seals inside the sleeve and is held by a removable locking device (7). Both valves (2,4) have flat end faces (72,76;74,78) which form an interference and sealing fit upon coupling. In order to be able to connect a normal plug valve with the flat sleeve valve (4), the sleeve has an axial recess (82) to take a spherical valve connection (80). The recess is coupled with a removable insert (84). By removal or attachment of this insert a flat or normal plug valve gives minimal leakage. USE/ADVANTAGE - Totally leak free coupling, with the sleeve valve able to be used with normal plug valves giving minimal leakage.
