The method relates to the generation of interfaces which are structured around a window and can be viewed on the screen of a computer system working in graphics mode. The method is characterised in that a surveillance module is associated with the objects incorporated in the interface, which module is configured for viewing, in at least one surveillance window 16, a synoptic table 18, 20 which is a snapshot representative of the constitution of all or part of the interface and made up from a descriptive report on the said objects 22 and in that, in interactive mode, creation and/or modification and/or incorporation of the said objects 22 is carried out with the aid of at least one working window, of the dialogue window type, under the instantaneous control of the surveillance module.
