P The powertrain 10 according to the invention comprises first 20 and second 22 compressors, and a combustion chamber 24 placed downstream of the second compressor 22. A first turbine 28 is placed downstream of the combustion chamber 24, and is coupled to the second compressor 22 by means of a first shaft 32. A second turbine 36 is placed downstream of the first turbine, and is coupled to the first compressor 20 by means of a second shaft 40. The power plant 10 is connected to a load 44 which is initially rotated in response to a downstream axial thrust, and the load is coupled to the second shaft 40. The invention also relates to a method of converting an aircraft engine into a other motor, this transformation being done by replacing the fan with a load. / P
