The cooled wall comprises a network of metallic tubes (5) constituting a cooling circuit fed by an external heat-transfer fluid (1). The network of metallic tubes (5) is located between an outer jacket (4) ensuring the structural behaviour of the assembly, and an internal jacket (2) exposed to the hot gases (3) from the engine or motor and fulfilling a predominantly thermal-protection role. Ribs (6) equipped with perforations (9) make sure that a spacing greater than the cross-section of the metallic tubes (5) is maintained between the internal jacket (2) and external (4) jacket, so that these tubes are not in direct contact with the said internal jacket (2). A body (7), which is fluid in the established conditions, and with high thermal conductivity is located between the internal (2) and external (4) jackets, outside the metallic tubes (5) in order to ensure heat transfer, essentially by conduction, between the internal jacket (2) acting as a thermal barrier (shield), and the tubes (5) of the cooling circuit.
