The subject of the present invention is a process for bleaching a pulp of cellulosic fibrous material, for the production of a chemical pulp, according to which the starting pulp is introduced continuously into a bleaching plant, and bleached with several agents bleaching agent, comprising chlorine dioxide and ozone, characterized in that the pulp is bleached with chlorine dioxide and ozone in a single step started with chlorine dioxide and continued with ozone, and in that the chlorine dioxide and the ozone are added in separate locations (21, 22), and each in at least one location (respectively 21 and 22) in the bleaching plant, this one and only step comprising no intermediate washing between said locations for adding chlorine dioxide and ozone.
