Pseudocumene and mesitylene production and coproduction thereof with xylene

A process for the production of pseudocumene, mesitylene, xylenes and benzene by upgrading C.sub.9 aromatics or mixtures of C.sub.7 -C.sub.9 aromatics is disclosed. The process is carried out under catalytic upgrading conditions using a catalyst which comprises a crystalline zeolite having a silica-to-alumina ratio of at least about 12 and a constraint index from about 1 to about 12, the zeolite preferably being ZSM-5.
