The invention relates to an apparatus and a process for the bubble- free gassing of liquids, especially of culture media for propagating tissue cultures by means of a porous membrane filament system, whereby liquid media and gas are introduced into the culture. The porous membrane filaments include both hydrophobic and hydrophobic filaments.
