摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a false-twisted polyester yarn useful as a warp of a base cloth for tacky adhesive tape having smooth and beautiful surface and easily cuttable by hand to form beautiful cut end. CONSTITUTION:The objective false-twisted polyester yarn useful as a warp of a base cloth for tacky adhesive tape is composed of a modified polyester copolymerized with 1.5-8mol% (based on the total dicarboxylic acid component) of an isophthalic acid component having a metal sulfonate group and has a strength of =3.0g/d, an elongation of =30%, a boiling water shrinkage of =10% and reducing =30% of the strength and =40% of the elongation by dry-heat treatment at 240 deg.C for 3min.
