METHOD OF REPAIRING HOT-AIR LONG-TIME CUPOLA FURNACE

PURPOSE: To obtain a method for repairing a hot-blast, long-time cupola furnace in which relining can be performed under normal temperature while shortening the repairing time significantly by feeding liquid nitrogen for cooling and removing slag simultaneously through a remote controller. CONSTITUTION: In the method for repairing a hot-blast, long-time cupola furnace 1 by cooling the furnace 1 at the end of smelting operation of the furnace 1 and the siphon 2 thereof, removing residual stag and relining a region 4 to be repaired with a fresh refractory material based on the lifetime of the burnt furnace, cooling is performed with liquid nitrogen and slag is removed simultaneously through a remote controller.
