FLAT BOTTOM TANK AND METHOD OF MONITORING LEAKAGE OF FLAT BOTTOM TANK

PURPOSE: To provide a leakage monitoring means for flat bottomed tank capable of being easily added to an existing flat bottomed tank and capable of quickly detecting a leakage generated position. CONSTITUTION: A first bitumen layer (special asphalt) 12 is fitted onto an outside tank bottom 10. An impermeable sheet 14 for preventing the permeation of the leaked medium is fitted onto the first bitumen layer 12. A leveling layer (draining asphalt) 16 for permeating the leaked medium is fitted onto the sheet 14, and an inside tank bottom 22 is welded onto the leveling layer 16. Sensor cables 18, of which electrical characteristic is changed by a contact with the leaked medium, are laid on the same surface in the leveling layer 16.
