摘要

PURPOSE:To improve long durability and reduce leaching rate of radioactives out of waste by adding fiber material having characteristics of adsorbing radioactive species on the surface in ion or molecule state to a water hardening type solidifying material of cement group. CONSTITUTION:At least one of fiber active charcoal, ion exchanging fiber and titanic acid alkali metal fiber which have characteristics of adsorbing radioactive species on the surface in ion or molecule state, is added to a water hardening type solidification material of cement group to be the material for solidification of radioactive waste and its vessel and the like so that a solidification material is constituted. Then waste resin slurry is thrown in a resin dehydrater 1 to desiccate to ca. 50% water inclusion and a determined amount arranged in a resin receiver tank 2 is sent to a mixing tank 4. It is mixed 9 with mixing water 7, cement powder 5, fiber active charcoal, etc., to make it like paste and is injected into a solidification vessel 10 to form a solid body. As these fiber materials have draw strength of a few times of the basic material, it raises the draw strength of the solid body and prevent propagation of crack generated inside. Thus, solid body degradation and increase in radioactive leaching is prevented.
