PURPOSE: To measure a component in immunoreaction by an immunoassay theory by using a specific polyethylene oxide/polypropylene oxide block copolymer as a surfactant. CONSTITUTION: A surfactant is represented by formula (a is a numerical value of 40-150 and b is a numerical value is 10-50). A polyethylene oxide/ polypropylene oxide block copolymer is used to measure a component in immunoreaction by an immunoassay theory in which one of reactive components is present in a solid phase. At this time, a hydrophilic block copolymer compsn. represented by formula characterized by that surface tension in a 1%-aq.soln. (wt./vol.) is at least 45mN/m and an average mol ratio (2a/b) of an ethylene oxide group and a propylene oxide group in the compsn. is at least 5.8 is used.
