MAGNETIZATION LEVEL MEASURING APPARATUS FOR MAGNET ROTOR

PURPOSE:To enable fast and accurate measurement of magnetization level of a permanent magnet for a magnet rotor without friction of a probe in measurement by keeping a gap distance between the tip of the probe and the surface of the magnet rotor constant. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting section 28 and a photo detecting section 30 are fixed at the tip of a moving base 23 of a moving device 22 to measure a gap distance (d) between a probe 24 and the surface of a permanent magnet 26 fixed on a magnet rotor 18 in addition to the probe 24. The light emitting section 28 and the photodetecting section 30 are both connected to a gap controller 12. A controller 12 contains a gap distance measuring section which applies a driving current to the light emitting section 28 and converts a photodetecting signal from the light emitting section 30 into a distance data to be outputted to a personal computer 16 and a moving device driving section to drive a motor 32 of the moving device. The moving device driving section moves a moving base 23 of the moving device 22 to the magnet rotor 13 axially by a command signal from the personal computer 16 to adjust the gap distance (d).
