PURPOSE:To easily inject an antiseptic insecticide even in hardly injectable wood by dissolving a zinc compound in water in high concn. in the presence of a volatile basic compound. CONSTITUTION:An antiseptic insecticide is prepared by dissolving a zinc compound in water in high concn. (1.2wt.% or more as metal zinc) in the presence of a volatile basic compound represented by R3N (wherein R is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group). The volatile basic compound enhances the solubility of the zinc compound to water and the zinc compound in the antiseptic insecticide swells the reticulated fibrin of the peripheral walls of the temporary vessels forming wood tissue to subsequently dissolve the same and successively penetrates in adjacent temporary vessels to deeply (10mm or more) penetrate in wood from the surface thereof at last to develop antiseptic and insecticidal effect. The zinc compound in wood becomes water-insoluble to be not eluted and keeps long-term antiseptic and insecticidal effect. When a copper compound is added to this antiseptic insecticide, the effect is increased.
