PURPOSE:To provide a method for economically producing a large and homogeneous titanium potassium phosphate (KTiOPO4) single crystal. CONSTITUTION:In a method for growing a titanium potassium phosphate single crystal from a tungsten flux (K2WO4-WO3), etc., by a gradually cooling flux method, the method is characterized by increasing the gradually cooling rate more than in the early crystal-growing time with the lowering of the growing temperature for the titanium potassium phosphate, thereby permitting to maintain the growth rate of the titanium potassium phosphate single crystal approximately constant, because of being able to make-up the approximately same saturated state as in the early growth time, and allowing to profitably produce the large and homogeneous titanium potassium phosphate single crystal.
