WORK INPUT/OUTPUT SYSTEM FOR MIXED FLOW PRODUCTION LINE AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE:To perform machining of a work according to a production plan order by providing a plurality of machining stations, a loading unloading station, a main pallet conveying means, a pallet stocker, and a pallet conveyor for a work. CONSTITUTION:A work W attached to a pallet conveyed by a pallet carriage conveyor 3 is machined by an NC machine tool at each machining station. The work W is mounted and demounted to and from the pallet by means of a loading unloading station. A pallet for a non-mass production work is branched from the pallet carriage conveyor 3 by a joining branching device 42 and the work W is mounted and demounted on a pallet conveyor 45 for a work. After completion of mounting and demounting of the work W, the pallet is returned to a different joining branching device 48 and returned to the main pallet carriage conveyor 3. The joining branching devices 42 and 48 are controlled according to a predetermined priority order in the direction of the flow of the pallet.
