PURPOSE:To make a sensor small in size and light in weight, to improve the fitting property thereof and to enable linear detection of an angle of a joint of a finger by converting the angle of the joint into a change in a peripheral length on the back side of the finger and by obtaining a linear output of the joint angle of the finger. CONSTITUTION:Displacement transducers 1a (T1), 1b (T2) and 1c (T3) are disposed on the back-side surface of a finger 10 so that they correspond to a middle interphalangeal joint MP, a proximal interphalangeal joint PIP and a distal interphalangeal joint DIP respectively. On the occasion, wires 2 are fixed to the opposite ends in the length direction of the displacement transducers 1a to 1c respectively and connected together, thereby the displacement transducers 1a to 1c are put in a form of being connected longitudinally, and the opposite free ends of the connected wires 2 are fixed on the back-side surface of the finger 10 by double-sided pressure sensitive adhesive tapes 4a and 4b respectively. In order to apply a tension set beforehand on the back of a hand so as to prevent slackening of the wires 2, a spring 3 is inserted, connected and fixed between the displacement transducer 1a and the adhesive double coated tape 4a, for instance.
