PURPOSE:To construct a knowledge base excellent in both the module properties and the maintenance performance and also to improve the integration properties, as well by dividing a whole knowledge into plural partial knowledges and deciding an internal interface. CONSTITUTION:In an inference type knowledge expression, an external interface is decided in consideration of the implementation form of each module and the inference efficiency. Then the outline and the details for the production method of each partial problem are regulated. When the division of the partial problems is required in such conditions, the relevant partial problem is divided and the reliant relation of the divided problems is specified. Then the partial editing, executing and testing operations are carried out. Thus a knowledge base is constructed by dividing a whole knowledge into partial knowledges and expressing these knowledges in each proper method.
