METHOD FOR IN VITRO DEVELOPMENT OF BOVINE EMBRYO

PURPOSE:To develop an embryo without causing the problems of the scattering of embryogenesis results by the lot of serum and the infection with disease germs by culturing a fertilized bovine ovum in vitro in the presence of a culture supernatant of a granulosa cell cultured in a serum-free medium having known composition. CONSTITUTION:An embryo is developed by culturing a fertilized bovine ovum in vitro (preferably an ovum prepared by collecting a premature ovum and growing and fertilizing the ovum in vitro) in the presence of a culture supernatant of a granulosa cell cultured in a serum-free medium having known composition. The culture supernatant is preferably produced by culturing a bovine granulosa cell in a serum-free medium containing a growth factor.
