TREATING OF ORGANIC POLLUTED WATER WITH PHOTOSYNTHETIC MICROORGANISM

PURPOSE:To treat an organic polluted water containing eutrophicating substances such as soiled organic substances and sulfide-based, nitrogen-based and phosphorus-based substances and to convert it into a valuable substance without discharging CO2 and the like which are responsible for the deterioration of the environment. CONSTITUTION:An organic polluted water is treated with purple non-sulfur bacteria and purple sulfur bacteria singly or in their mixture in a photosynthetic microorganism culture process 2, followed by the treatment in a blue-green alga culture process 13. Thereafter, a Chlorophyceae culture process 26 may as well be provided to additionally treat the organic soil water. A hydrogen and a fixed carbon dioxide gas produced in these processes will be recovered and effectively utilized.
