PURPOSE:To achieve a diagnosing of an early cancer inexpensively and accurately without side effect by arranging a first wavelength selection transmission filter in a lighting optical path between a light source and an object to be inspected while a second wavelength selection transmission filter adapted to transmit fluorescence in an observation optical path between an object and the outside of an inserting section. CONSTITUTION:An outgoing end of an image guide fiber bundle 23 is arranged at an expanded observation position with an eye-piece lens 25 provided within an eyepiece part 13. An image of an object 100 as observed from outside the eyepiece part 13 passing through the image guide fiber bundle 23 from an observation window 16 and an objective lens 22 is confined to light with a wavelength of a second wavelength selection transmission filter 2. From outside the eyepiece part 13, a fluorescent image alone 500nm or 600nm in wavelength is observed. But when a cancerous cell exists in the object 100, the part involved is observed weak and dark in fluorescence while the normal part is observed bright. This eliminates fear of side effect and enables diagnosing of an early cancer accurately.
