PURPOSE: To provide a new process for removing sulfur oxides by dry recycled fly ash in a dry SO2 scrubbing method. CONSTITUTION: A method for removing sulfur oxides from flue gas comprising preparing a wet alkali (alkaline earth) slurry, atomizing the slurry into a slurry spray, supplying dry reactive recycled fly ash in an annular pattern around the slurry spray, mixing the dry fly ash with the spray of the wet slurry and supplying dry flue gas in an annular pattern around the mixture of the slurry spray and the fly ash.
