DIAGNOSIS FOR DETERIORATION OF GAS INSULATED TRANSFORMER

PURPOSE:To appropriately diagnose deterioration of a machine by providing a conductor coated insulator in the vicinity of a highest temperature part of a coil with a dummy insulator for generating cracked gas other than CO2 by deterioration and measuring the cracked gas generated from the dummy insulator. CONSTITUTION:A transformer body comprises a coil 1 wound around an iron core 7 and is housed in a vessel 2, while SF6 gas is sealed in the vessel 2 with predetermined pressure. The coil 1 comprises a conductor 4 which is insulation- coated by a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film, while the conductor 4 in the vicinity B of its highest temperature part is additionally wound by a predetermined amount of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) film at the time of manufacturing the coil. This constitution causes PPS being a dummy insulator to deteriorate as the vicinity of the highest temperature part deteriorates, and characteristic cracked gas SO2 is generated together with CO2. Therefore by measuring an amount of the SO2 gas, deterioration of PET, that is deterioration of a machine, can be appropriately diagnosed.
