PURPOSE:To efficiently insert a sheet pile, by a method wherein after a slot excavated in a rubble-mound layer is filled up with sand, another slot is excavated in the rubble-mound layer adjacent to said slot, and at the same time, the sheet pile is inserted into the slot filled up with sand, ahead of the tip of an auger screw. CONSTITUTION:The first slot 5 is bored through a rubble-mound layer 4 by an excavator consisting of an auger screw 12 and the like. Then, after the auger screw 12 only is lifted up and a hollow casing 1 is filled up with sand 7, the casing 1 is lifted up. After that, at a position adjacent to the slot 5 filled up with sand 7, another slot 5 is excavated with the auger screw 12, and at the same time, a sheet pile 8 is inserted into the slot 8 filled up with the sand 5, ahead of the tip of the auger screw 12.
