DIVERTER OF HELICAL-TYPE NUCLEAR FUSION DEVICE AND ITS OPERATION METHOD

PURPOSE:To enable a nuclear fusion furnace to be operated for a long time by reducing a local heat concentration to a diverter plate or its wear without giving a fluctuation magnetic field to a superconductive coil or a plasma. CONSTITUTION:A diverter plate 2 or a coil pair 3 are placed around it and a means for allowing currents which are in opposite directions and have the same size to flow is provided at the coil pair 3. When a current value of the coil pair is changed in this manner, a magnetic field around the diverter plate 2 is disturbed and a position where an impurities particle enters the diverter plate is changed, thus enabling a life of the diverter plate 2 to be extended. Furthermore, a plasma and a superconductive coil are not affected since the magnetic fields which are created by the coil pair 3 are canceled each other at a location away from the diverter plate 2.
