HOTO ISOSTATIC PRESSURIZATION METHOD FOR TITANIUM AND TITANIUM ALLOY CASTING

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide the method which annihilates the hole-like defects existing on the surface of titanium or titanium alloy casting and the titanium or titanium alloy casting obtd. by this method. CONSTITUTION:This method consists in chemically plating a nickel/boron alloy or nickel/phosphorus compd. with a boron compd. or phosphorus compd. as a reducing agent on the surface of the titanium or titanium alloy casting, then subjecting the casting to hot isostatic pressurization, thereby annihilating the hole-like defects of the titanium or titanium alloy casting. The above-mentioned titanium or titanium alloy casting is obtd. by this method.
