METHOD FOR PREVENTING DUST GENERATION OF COAL STORED IN YARD

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of dust from coal and to suppress the permeation of rain water and air into piled coal by spraying piled coal with a compound containing aromatic ring bonded with plural sulfone groups and a substance containing or generating plural cations. CONSTITUTION:A coal pile is scattered with (A) preferably 10-50wt.% of a compound containing aromatic ring bonded with plural sulfone groups [e.g. naphthalenedi(or tri or tetra)sulfonic acids, anthracenedi(or tri or tetra)sulfonic acids and pyrenedi(or tri)sulfonic acids]and (B) preferably 10-50wt.% of a substance containing or generating plural cations (e.g. chloride, hydroxide, sulfate, carbonate, nitrate, etc., of Ca, Mg, Zn, Pb, Fe, Al, etc.).
