ELECTROTHERMICS BULLET AND ELECTROTHERMICS BULLET FIRING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To make the most use of chemical reaction between an aluminum body which is heated to high temperature with joule heat and water and fire a bullet at very high speed by providing water in a vessel, a plurality of alumi num bodies laid out in the water and bullets held in said vessel. CONSTITUTION:An electrothermics bullet 50 is loaded in a muzzle 51a of a cylinder-shaped gun barrel where a terminal 52 and a stator 53 are installed to the gun tail 51b of the gun barrel 51. The terminal 52 is mechanically connected with the bottom 50 a of the electrothermics bullet 50. If a switch is turned on under this construction, electric current rises in conformity with the time constant of each aluminum body 3 and 4 and reaches the temperature (about 600 deg.C) which can start chemical reaction with water explosively so that each aluminum body 3 and 4 may generate high temperature aqueous vapor body consecutively. Therefore, proper selection of an inductance and a resistor of the aluminum bodies 3 and 4 makes it possible to maintain the pressure of hydrogen over a specified time and fire with strong power (about 3km/sec) from the muzzle 51c of the gun barrel 51.
