PURPOSE:To facilitate the maintenance of a library by providing a Japanese information library control table where allocation information of a format information library, a format overlay library and a character pattern library are stored and accessing to an output control means from the table. CONSTITUTION:The Japanese information library control table 11 is provided to a system, the Japanese information library control table 11 is updated when a format library maintenance utility 9 and a character pattern library mainte nance utility 10 generate, register and eliminate the library and a Japanese printing device output control means 5 decides the library to the accessed through the Japanese information library control table 11. Consequently, the Japanese information library of the system, namely, respectively plural format information libraries, the format overlay libraries and the character pattern libraries can be given to an arbitrary magnetic disk, the Japanese information library constitution of the system can arbitrarily be updated and the mainte nance of the library can be facilitated.
