PURPOSE:To enable precise detection of the speed and the direction of a helicopter. CONSTITUTION:The title system is equipped with an air pressure detecting element provided at the fore end of a rotor of a helicopter, a rotor rotation angle sensor for detecting the rotation angle of the aforesaid rotor to an airframe of the helicopter and an air data computing device for computing the speed and the direction of the helicopter from a signal of the rotor rotation angle and a signal of an air pressure at the fore end of the rotor. Since a span of the rotor is long, a peripheral velocity of the fore end of the rotor can be made large sufficiently. Accordingly, a dynamic pressure detected is large as well and the precision in detection of an airspeed is also improved.
