PURPOSE:To constitute an optimum fuzzy control rule which can realize the optimum feedback curved surface throughout the state space of a control response by tuning the fuzzy control rule. CONSTITUTION:Plural initial points and aimed set values corresponding to each initial point are respectively generated by means of a initial value generation circuit 5 and set value generation circuit 6 and an ideal control response corresponding to all initial points and aimed set values is generated from a standard model set circuit 7. Then an reasoning section 12 for tuning tunes a fuzzy control rule in accordance with an input from a control evaluation circuit 10 based on fuzzy knowledge for tuning stored in a tuning fuzzy knowledge base 11 in the course of the control by means of a fuzzy controller 1 based on each ideal control response. Therefore, the optimum feedback curved surface can be automatically tuned to the optimum fuzzy control rule throughout the state space of a control response.
