STRUCTURE OF STEEL FRAME COLUMN JUNCTION SECTION

PURPOSE:To improve junction work by closing one end of a column body, erecting the guide to be inserted into the opened end sections of another column body, and guiding the other end section of the column body to abut on the slant section of the guide. CONSTITUTION:A mounting plate 3 is welded to an end section of a hollow column body 2 forming a closed end section 5, and four guides 4 are erected on the closed end section forming an opened section out of the other end. Each of the heads of these guides 4 is formed to a convergent taper shape and has a pair of slant sections 6 composed of slant upper edges 4a. In the next step, a lifted steel frame column 2 is lowered, and the guide 4 of the closed end section 5 is inserted into the opened end section of the other steel frame column 2, and positioning adjustment is made, and then, the opened end section and closed end section 5 are joined to each other. Junction work can be improved by this constitution.
