PRODUCTION OF RECOMBINANT VECTOR, TRANSFORMED BACILLUS-SUBTILIS AND CRYSTAL TOXIC PROTEIN

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a method for producing a crystal toxic protein having excellent insecticidal effects produced by Bacillus.thuringensis using Bacillus.subtilis nontoxic to humans and cattle as a host. CONSTITUTION:A DNA fragment containing a spoVG genetic promoter of Bacillus.subtilis, antibiotic-tolerant gene capable of expressing in the Bacillus.subtilis and a gene capable of coding a crystal toxic protein are linked to a newly created vector replicable in Escherichia coli. Thereby, Bacillus.subtilis containing the resultant recombinant vector in the chromosome is used. The crystal toxic protein can stably be produced even in a culture solution without containing any antibiotic substance by using the Bacillus.subtilis nontoxic to humans and cattle.
