TERMITE-AND-RAT-PROOF THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITION AND ELECTRIC WIRE AND CABLE USING SAME AS INSULATING SHEATH MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To restrain any damage caused by both termites and rats for a long period without dissolution due to heat generated at the time of manufacturing by incorporating microcapsuled cycloheximide, versatic acid zinc and phenitrothion into a vinyl chloride resin. CONSTITUTION:Microcapsuled cycloheximide, versatic acid zinc and phenitrothion are incorporated into a vinyl chloride resin, thereby obtaining a thermoplastic composition capable of preventing ants and rats. An effect more than conventional can be maintained with a little amount of ant and rat preventing agents without dissolution of the ant and rat preventing agents due to heat generated at the time of manufacturing. Therefore, any damage caused by both termites and rats can be restrained for a long period.
