PURPOSE:To obviate the necessity to provide an excess width on a rack by arranging an upper wheel, an upper guide roller, a lower guide roller, a lower wheel and a drive pinion so that the center axes of their rotary shafts are contained in one vertical plane perpendicular to a rail. CONSTITUTION:The whole passenger monorail trolley is mounted with a passenger car on two nearly equivalent front and rear running devices D. A rail J is connected with an upper rail U and a lower rail V by a connecting plate T. The running device has a frame C, axles supported by it, and wheels. The frame C is divided into the right and left, and they are connected at the upper front and rear by front and rear upper eccentric axles 1, 2. The axles 1, 2 rotatably support the front and rear upper wheels M, N. The center axes of upper wheels M, N, an upper guide roller X, lower wheels P, O, or a drive pinion L and a lower guide roller R serving as wheel elements are contained in the same vertical plane.
