PURPOSE:To sterilize the title food, to kill parasites in the food and to improve preservation of the food by putting a food heat-treated at low temperature in a container and subjecting the food to high-pressure treatment by an aqueous pressure medium. CONSTITUTION:An unheated or low-temperature heat-treated food is incorporated with a food preservative, preferably glycine and further with an organic acid such as acetic acid, adjusted to pH=5.5, optionally combined with a sweetener, put in a container and subjected to high-pressure treatment by an aqueous pressure medium (under =500kg/cm2 for =5 minutes) to carry out the objective sterilization.
