METHOD OF CONTROLLING OPERATION OF AUXILIARY COOLANT SEA WATER SYSTEM OF NUCLEAR POWER PLANT

PURPOSE:To obtain an auxiliary coolant system of a nuclear power plant capable of reducing the adhesion of marine organisms during normal plant operation. CONSTITUTION:In a method for controlling the operation of an auxiliary coolant sea water system of a nuclear power plant provided with a multitude of pumps and heat exchangers, an operation unit provided with pumps and heat exchangers operated by passing sea water and a standby unit provided with additional pumps and heat exchangers stopping in standby state are arranged. The operation unit and standby unit are switched in turn so that the term of continuously operating as an operation unit passing sea water and the term of being preserved as a standby unit are in a range from 5 days to 40 days by turns.
