PURPOSE:To attain a simple structure and also to enable an easy operation of detection of a logic level by having a main body of a detector of an IC clip type, electrode faces, a logic level detecting circuit and light-emitting diodes. CONSTITUTION:Light-emitting diodes 2 in the number corresponding to that of terminals of IC are disposed in lines on the upper surfaces of a main body 1 of a detector and they are so positioned as to correspond to each of electrode faces 5. First, terminal holding parts 4 in the fore ends of the main body 1 of the detector of a clip type are opened against the force of a coil spring, with the upper ends of the main body picked, and the terminals of the IC are held between them. On the occasion, each of the electrode faces 5 of the termi nal holding parts 4 is made to correspond to the terminals of the IC. When a power is supplied to the main body 1 of the detector in this state, a logic level detecting circuit incorporated, and the corresponding light-emitting diode 2 is lighted only for the terminal of an 'H' level. Thereby detection of the logic levels of the terminals of the IC is completed.
