CLONING OF SUPERIOR GENE OF RICE UTILIZING PROLIFERATION PHENOMENON

PURPOSE:To enable asexual reproduction of a large quantity of superior gene without causing mutation of the gene, by floating affected leaf in a deionized water under aeration and immersing a young host plant in the water, thereby inoculating the pathogen and developing a proliferation phenomenon. CONSTITUTION:An affected leaf is floated in a deionized water under aeration and a young host plant is immersed in the water to inoculate the pathogen to the plant. The inoculation efficiency is high and 85-99% of the seedlings are attacked with the disease. A proliferation phenomenon is induced in high frequency to the seedling at a desired stage by the administration of a remedying drug. The affected young plant formed by the proliferation phenomenon is completely cured by the administration of the drug. The process enables asexual reproduction of superior gene of rice such as F1 variety, male sterility strain or a genetically heterogeneous useful breeding material.
