PROMOTING METHOD OF HEAT TRANSFER IN NATURAL CONVECTION

PURPOSE:To improve thermal conductivity and permit the designing of a compact heat exchanger by projecting a fluid excluding member from a heat transfer surface to exclude the flow of fluid. CONSTITUTION:A heat transfer surface 3 is made so as to be a vertical flat surface and an inclined fluid excluding plate 5 is provided on one side of the heat transfer surface 3. High-temperature fluid 6 is excluded by the fluid excluding plate 5 while new low-temperature fluid flows into the upper part of the fluid excluding plate 5 whereby heat conductivity is increased. The fluid excluding plate 5 can be horizontal.
