PURPOSE:To make trap tracing efficient by automatically executing the tracing of a trap to be executed after setting up a trap condition and the restart of a processor to be executed at the discrepancy of trap conditions. CONSTITUTION:This trap tracing system is constituted of a processor 1, an I/O device 2, a trap condition setting means 3, a trap data reading means 4, and a trap formation deciding means 5. When a trap instruction and trap condition data are inputted from the I/O device 2, all the succeeding processing, i.e. the reading of data and the comparison of trap conditions at the time of generating a trap, the storage of the data and report to the I/O device 2 at the formation of the trap condition, and the restart of the processor at the discrepancy of the trap condition data, are automatically executed. Consequently, the trap tracing can be efficiently executed.
